*What is your favorite book and why?

This is a really hard question for me because I have so many favorites in many different genres. Being an author, avid reader, and a transformational coach I read a lot. I really don’t think I can choose just one! I think I’m more of a top 10 favorites type of gal. I enjoy books that move me, that make me think and reflect on my life, that make me smile, that inspire me, and that I feel better for reading. Elizabeth Gilbert would definitely be one of my favorite authors because she crosses genres so easily and I can’t get enough of her work.

* What’s your favorite, go to piece in your closet?

My dyetology shirt. Really. I have worn it constantly over the summer and now I am figuring out the best ways to layer with it for fall.

* What is something interesting about the city you live that people may not know?

There are a couple of awesome things about this city that I would like to share: it has a great music scene and if you want to be outside walking or just spending time in nature, you can do it so easily here.

* What’s your superpower, or what's your spirit animal?

I think my superpower is creativity.

* What is your favorite Fall activity?

Walking in the woods and seeing the changing leaves falling to the ground, apple picking, and making pumpkin bread.

* If i gave you $100 to spend what would do with it ?

I would most likely spend it on books or delicious food.

* What is something you will NEVER do again?

Downhill skiing. Just not my thing. Cross country skiing is a different story — love that!

* What is the coolest day of your life so far (besides kids/marriage)

The day I published my book 40 Weeks: A Daily Journey of Inspiration and Abundance.

* What is your favorite fitness activity?

I enjoy feeling like I have worked my body so I love spinning, running, bootcamp, lifting weights. I like having a combination of things so I don’t get burned out on any one thing. However if I could only do one active thing it would be walking. It makes me feel physically wonderful and soothes my soul.

* What are some of your personal “rules” that you never break?

Feeding my body healthy, delicious, clean food is at the top of my list.

*What’s the best thing that happened to you last 7 days?

Seeing my daughter at her most recent cross country invitational (she’s in seventh grade). She improved on her personal best by almost a minute and was so proud of herself. It was an amazing thing to witness her shining light grow even brighter.

*If you could have lunch with anyone who would be and why? (living person)

Elizabeth Gilbert. I love her books. I love how she thinks. I love who she spends time with. I would love to be able to talk with her over a lazy meal and learn more about her on a more personal level. When someone is in the public eye and so generously shares their thoughts and vulnerabilities it is easy to for the observer to think that we know that person on some level, and we do, but there is so much more to the story and I would love to see what it would be like to be a friend out to lunch with her.

*What’s a quirk that you have that serves you really well?

I have the ability to look at things from multiple perspectives. And I am a really quick learner. (Okay — that’s two, but by now from my answers you can see that it is difficult for me to follow the rules exactly.)

*What’s your favorite drink or cocktail?

Proseco on a summer evening or a rich and sultry red blend in the fall or winte

*What is your all-time favorite song?

As someone who sings in a band I again have a lot of favorites. There are two songs that I love singing more than any others: Never Saw Blue Like That by Tom Kimmel, Jeff Franzel, Mark Luna and recorded most famously by Shawn Colvin AND Falling Slowly by Glen Hansard and Markéta Irglová (from the movie Once). However, there are also a number of Jazz standards that I just can’t part with.
