Let's hear it for the girls!

Thanks to the overwhelming response of support and positivity on our "5 Women You May Not Know... But Should!" blog post last month, we here at Dyetology would love to make women supporting women a recurring segment on our blog!

Here are 5 more amazing movers and shakers that you may not know... but should!

Tammy Tibbetts of She's the First

Tammy Tibbetts of She's The First

They say all you need is one idea, and for Tammy Tibbetts, that idea was starting a social media campaign that got millennials excited to support girls' education in low-income countries called She's The First. Today, the company has over 200 campus charters, where students here in the U.S. sell cupcakes and utilize other creative fundraising efforts to raise money for girls from all around the world, whom you can meet on their website, Shesthefirst.org. Along with fighting for gender equality around the world, Tammy is passionate about yoga, running, and hula-hooping (is there anything this girl can't do?!)

Cathy of The Middle Page

Cathy of The Middle Page Blog

Dallas blogger, mother, and breast cancer survivor Cathy Williamson was not going to let cancer be in control when she was diagnosed in 2013. Her wonderful lifestyle blog includes skin care reviews, the ability to see what she's been shopping lately, and (my personal favorite), her Chic at Every Age collaborations! Cathy and her blogger gal pals have an amazing ability to take one piece and outfit it 4 completely different ways, for 4 completely different styles and 4 different ages! I wonder how she would style a Dyetology shawl... (;

Anita and April of Sew to Speak

Anita and April of Sew to Speak

This lovely mother daughter duo founded Sew to Speak in 2008 with a mission "to serve and inspire in the world of sewing, knitting, crocheting and crafting". On their website, sewtospeakshoppe.com, you can sign up for classes to make clothing, quilts, or even learn sewing basics, or purchase fabric that daughter April designs. We love their cool, modern approach to making beautiful pieces and inspiring women to do so as well!

Jeni Britton Bauer of Jeni's Splendid Ice Creams

Jeni Britton Bauer of Jeni's Splendid Ice Creams

Curated, creative, and BOSS are all words I would use to describe Jeni, who founded Jeni's Splendid Ice Creams in 2002, right here in our home town of Columbus, Ohio. In addition to creating innovative and delicious ice cream flavors (seriously, have you tried Brambleberry Crisp yet?), what you may not know is that Jeni's self-proclaimed "side-hustle" is a call to action organization called The Good Fights. They post educational blurbs about issues they're passionate about in hopes to inspire "the good fight" in communities around the country. Eating ice cream and changing the world- 2 of my favorite things!

Natalia Fedner of Natalia Fedner Deisgns

Natalia Fedner of Natalia Fedner Designs

Haute couture designer, Parsons graduate, and Project Runway competitor- all before the age of 30? Meet Natalia Fedner, a talented young visionary who has dressed all your favorite celebrities- you just don't know it. Some of my favorite pieces of hers are made of a 100% metal textile (designed by Natalia of course) that creates a slinky and sexy drape. This girl is a serious innovator, and each look book is more beautiful than the last- check out her amazing work here!
